Mosin Nagant is a sniper rifle that is available in Sniper Elite, Sniper Elite V2, Sniper Elite III, Zombie Army Trilogy, Sniper Elite 4, Zombie Army 4: Dead War and Sniper Elite 5; it's one of the main staple rifles in the series. A camouflage variant of the weapon is also made available in Sniper Elite III.
Overview[]
The Mosin Nagant has high damage, high zoom and high recoil. It is a bolt action rifle with a 5-round single stack internal magazine.
Sniper Elite[]
The Mosin Nagant is the standard rifle of the Red Army, albeit being incorrectly modelled on the Finnish M39 Mosin-Nagant rifle, being designated simply as "M91". It is the final sniper rifle issued to Karl and inaccurately fires in semi-automatic.
The scoped Mosin-Nagant M91/30 with an early PEM scope makes appearances in loading screens and is also featured in the front cover of the game.
Sniper Elite V2[]
"A potent, Russian rifle. Balanced with a decent zoom and high bullet velocity. The bolt action reloads slows the firing rate."
The Mosin Nagant is first seen used by Russian soldiers on Mission 4: Kaiser-Friedrich Museum, and then later a scoped version is found by the player in the same mission. Russian snipers also use scoped Mosin Nagant rifles.

The Camouflaged Mosin is the rifle part of the Camouflage Weapons Pack. The camo version has more zoom and less muzzle velocity.
Sniper Elite 4[]

Trivia[]
- In Sniper Elite V2 the Scoped Mosin Nagant is incorrectly depicted with a straight bolt, which would stop the user from chambering the round as the bolt would get blocked by the scope. This was later corrected in Sniper Elite III.
- This incorrect setting was unknowingly copied in the comic Sara by Garth Ennis, about a Red Army female sniper.
