Sniper Elite V2 Edit

"A potent, Russian rifle. Balanced with decent zoom and high bullet velocity. The bolt action reload slows the firing rate."
— in-game description
The Mosin Nagant 1891/31 is the second sniper rifle acquired by Karl. It's maximum capacity for bullets is 5/100. It is obtained in the mission "Kaiser-Friedrich Museum" in a room with two other Russians. It has a good bullet velocity, which means that player doesn't need to compensate for bullet drop too much, good zoom, but low rate of fire, due to bolt action mechanism.

Note: On Elite level, adjustment for bullet drop is significant at long distances. Whereas your original Rifle the Springfield M1903 you only had to correct one bar, 1 1/2 at extreme distance (One Minute - 1 1/12 minutes) of elevation for bullet drop, the Nagant requires 3, 4, even 5 plus windage for the same distance shot.

This firearm is the most balanced in Sniper Elite: V2. The best way to categorize this is as "The Marksman's weapon". With a great balance of zoom, bullet velocity, and magazine size, the Mosin Nagant is a great gun that is best in the hands of a shooter that prefers a tactical approach from a long distance. The Mosin, however, is not the greatest choice at medium range because of its low rate of fire and long reload time.  This makes planning and tactics imperative when using this rifle. Unlike the G43, correcting one's shot after missing is difficult with the Mosin, particularly if there are multiple targets in the area, as the enemy will often be upon you by the time you reload and resume firing. If you plan on using this weapon, be sure to find a good FFP and eliminate as many foes as possible by stealth before you blow your cover.
